“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven”-Ecclesiastes 3:1
Have you ever wanted to press forward during a particular time in your life? Maybe it’s a tough season for you right now and you are trying to hurry through to get to the other side. Or maybe you have a big trip planned and ready to embark on a little time away from work and life’s responsibilities. Regardless of where you are, I find comfort in knowing that there is a time for everything.
I am a natural planner and love to have my day/week planned out. Sundays are usually for church, brunch and time to get ready for the workweek. As much as I like to have things figured out, I am learning to take the passenger seat in certain areas of my life.
I believe God gives us visions and dreams of what’s to come but we may not always know the timing. Maybe you’ve received a vision to start a business but when you look at your bank account, it just doesn’t seem possible. If God gave the vision to you, it will come to pass in its perfect timing. I am learning to be at peace in not knowing the details of my life. Yes, I wish I could get the step by step instructions to fulfill what He has for me but if my life came with a manual, would I truly give God credit for it? I honestly can’t say that I would.
If I was able to go through life and fulfill the visions in my own will, it would appear to come from me and not my Heavenly Father. I’ve been praying bold prayers to look back one day and know that it was only through His will that it came to fruition. In order for that to happen, I have to close my planner and give the details to God.
I want to encourage you today to join me in knowing that your prayers will be answered and your visions will come to light in time. You don’t have to know every detail, you just have to trust and stay connected to your source.
